Eadaoin Clancy

Eadaoin is an Irish and Australian qualified tax specialist with over a decade of experience in accounting and taxation across both jurisdictions.

She trained and qualified in Ireland before relocating to Australia, where she completed further professional training and examinations in Australian taxation. Having subsequently returned to Ireland, she brings both technical expertise and personal experience of the challenges involved in moving between Ireland and Australia.

Eadaoin is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a member of both the Irish Tax Institute and the Tax Institute of Australia. Her qualifications and experience enable her to provide integrated advice on Irish, Australian and cross-border tax matters.

In addition to her specialist tax work, Eadaoin oversees accounting, tax compliance and advisory services for small businesses, helping business owners manage their reporting obligations, tax affairs and growth plans with confidence.

Her areas of expertise include tax residency, emigration and repatriation planning, cross-border tax compliance, capital gains tax, property taxation, small business accounting and international tax planning.

Michael McDaid

Michael trained and qualified in Ireland before relocating to Australia, where he continues to live and work.

With a strong corporate accounting background, Michael has developed extensive expertise in financial management, corporate reporting and commercial strategy within Australian businesses.

His experience includes group and statutory accounting, profit and loss management, budget control, financial reporting, forecasting and corporate audit processes.

Michael also possesses a deep operational understanding of the B2B franchise sector, helping business owners and management teams align financial reporting, forecasting and strategic decision-making to support sustainable growth.

Based in Australia, Michael provides clients with local market insight while working closely with the wider O’Connor Emmet team to support Irish-Australian business and tax matters.

Together, Eadaoin and Michael bring first-hand experience of living and working in both Ireland and Australia, providing clients with practical advice grounded in both technical expertise and real-world experience.
