30 June saw the end to the 2014 tax year. To maximise your refunds, those on a temporary work visa that do not get Medicare benefits should get their exemption application submitted ASAP. There is normally a 6 week wait on the exemption certificate and you cannot claim the refund of Medicare paid in your return without it.
